About me
Railway Photography is my passion. I hope that my portfolio gives you as much viewing pleasure as it gives me in taking the photographs.
My work has been published in various magazines including Railway Herald, Steam Railway, Heritage Railway, LNER Pacifics, Chime and also featured in the prestigious Steam Railway and Sir Nigel Gresley annual calendars.
Despite the "end" of steam hauled trains on Britain's mainlines over 40 years ago, many engines survived years of rusting away in scrapyards to be rescued and lovingly restored by dedicated volunteers.
These survivors can be seen in their magnificence and former glory both back on Britain's mainlines and also on the preserved heritage railways throughout the land.
In my work I endeavour to capture the atmosphere of the railway scene , the hard working engines and the sheer dedication of the many volunteers who work tirelessly to recreate a bygone era.
I hope my photographs capture the nostalgia of the steam age and evoke your childhood memories of days gone by.
